Terms

The terms on which ayeoh.io is offered. Short, because the site is simple.

Last updated 18 September 2026

What the site is

ayeoh.io gathers what is going on in Scottish technology: headlines, short summaries and links from news outlets, companies' and organisations' own announcements, job boards, event calendars and podcasts. It is run by LOOPSIO. By using the site or subscribing to the weekly email you agree to these terms.

Other people's work

Every story links to the outlet that reported it, and each story belongs to that outlet. Our headlines and summaries are short pointers to their work, with the publisher named alongside. Where a story carries a picture, it is a small copy of the publisher's own share image, shown with a credit and only to illustrate the link, and we copy nothing from a publisher that has asked us not to. Job listings, events and podcast episodes link to their sources in the same way; some job listings are provided by Adzuna, and some events through Eventbrite's API, each linking to its Eventbrite page. ayeoh.io is not owned, developed or endorsed by Eventbrite.

If you are a publisher and want a picture, a story or your whole outlet removed from the site, email ayeoh@loopsio.com. We remove it and stop copying from you.

Accuracy

We choose and summarise automatically, and we make mistakes: a story may be misdated, mis-grouped, mis-summarised or placed under the wrong region. The linked article is the record; our summary is not. Nothing on the site is advice of any kind, and you should not make a decision on the strength of a summary without reading the source.

The weekly email

The email is free, goes out once a week, and stops the moment you click the unsubscribe link in it. What we keep about subscribers, and why, is in the privacy policy.

Using the site

You may read, link to and share anything on the site. You may not use it to harm the outlets it links to, for example by copying their work at scale through us, and you may not interfere with the service or try to reach parts of it that are not public.

Liability

The site is provided as it is, free of charge. To the extent the law allows, LOOPSIO is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, from a summary that turned out to be wrong, or from a linked site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of Scotland.

Law and changes

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland and the Scottish courts. We may change them; the date at the top says when we last did, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
